I carefully choose what affiliate partnerships I enter into, the websites I link to align with my personal beliefs; meaning they are zero waste or plastic free online shops or websites dedicated to an eco-friendly lifestyle. There are a few exceptions but in these circumstances I link only to products that I would be happy to purchase myself.
Amazon Associate
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases, and link to them when I cannot find an alternative product on another website. I only link to products I either have purchased, or would consider purchasing myself (plastic free, low carbon footprint etc).
There are ways to make your own Amazon purchases more eco-friendly.
- Choose standard delivery rather than next day
- Choose less packaging
- Email Amazon’s customer service at [email protected]. You can ask them to add a note to your account to avoid plastic or extra packaging whenever possible. On some items you purchase you can select ‘frustration free packaging’ which is 100% recyclable.
- Reuse or Recycle Your Packaging
- Buy only what you need
- Buy products on other websites whenever you can (for example support local bookshops rather than buying books from Amazon).
Google Adverts
You will see some google adverts on some pages of this website. I’ve tried to keep the number of adverts to a minimum so as not to distract from the main content. I have no control over what adverts you see, but I am able to report any that are inappropriate, therefore if you see any ‘dodgy’ adverts or anything you are concerned about, please let me know.
